Zaragoza hosts an advanced surgical training session with realistic Urology 3D models.

On May 7, 2025, the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza was the scene of an intense surgical training day focused on two key procedures of laparoscopic urology: partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty. The course, organized by Urology 3D and ROC Clinic, and sponsored by Casen Recordati, brought together 21 local urologists with a common goal: to hone their surgical skills in a safe, realistic, and sustainable environment.

Quality training with references in urology

The conference was led by doctors Vital Hevia Palacios and Gema Duque Ruiz, urology specialists at ROC Clinic and HM Hospitals, who offered a detailed theoretical session on the indications, techniques and surgical challenges of both procedures. Their clinical experience and pedagogical approach allowed attendees to gain an in-depth understanding of the most current surgical techniques.

From theory to practice: training with state-of-the-art models

After the theoretical part, the participants moved on to a Hands-on session in which they were able to apply what they learned using the hyperrealistic kidney models developed by Urology 3D. These models, specifically designed to simulate laparoscopic interventions such as partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty, offer an extremely realistic surgical experience, allowing complex maneuvers such as tumor resection, intracorporeal suturing, and reconstruction of the renal collecting system.

The most remarkable thing about these models is that they are vegan and sustainable, made without materials of animal origin and with an environmentally friendly approach. This not only ensures safe and ethical practice, but also allows for the procedures to be repeated as many times as necessary, without compromising the quality of learning.

Zaragoza is committed to innovation in medical training

This course represents a further step in the consolidation of new surgical teaching methodologies in Spain. The combination of high-level theoretical training with direct practice on realistic anatomical models allows professionals to improve their competencies without the risks inherent in surgery on real patients.

From Urology 3D, we thank the involvement of all the attendees, as well as the collaboration of doctors Hevia and Duque, whose teaching work was key to the success of the conference. We also want to highlight the support of Casen Recordati, whose commitment to medical training has made this initiative possible.

Committed to safer, more ethical and sustainable surgery

At Urology 3D we firmly believe that the future of surgical training lies in technological innovation, sustainability and accessibility. We will continue to work to offer solutions that allow health professionals to train with precision, ethics and confidence.
